About Us:

My Generation Theatre is the creative production division of the Joseph Skakun Project. It is a community centric, creative, collaborative organization dedicated to training and preparing actors through the development and production of innovative and socially conscious new work for the stage, television, film & music.

 

Our Mission:

Our Mission is to raise awareness and mobilize social action through our productions. We have assembled a highly experienced award winning group of creative innovators, producers, directors, writers and actors on both sides of the Atlantic. Our Theatre will provide first class training programs for actors and those interested in stage and TV production.  We partner with like-minded creative organizations who share our dedication for arts and music enrichment programs in the community. Our commitment to social enterprise entertainment is the foundation of everything we do and our various shows and productions serve as fund-raisers for the benefit of our organization and that of our partners.

 

Our Experience:

The members of our creative team have produced well over 100 productions including network TV Shows for CBS, PBS Shows & Documentaries, major network radio productions, Off Broadway comedy & dramatic plays & musicals, musical reviews, special musical tributes, staged readings & poetry jams, major live humanitarian events.

Ongoing Training & Education:

Our Team has extensive background teaching and mentoring students in TV & Stage production skills, dramatic technique, voice training and choreography at College & Professional Level. We offer a comprehensive mentoring service and full preparation for College Theatre Programs for our High School Acting Students.

Our Programs:

We focus our efforts in 3 specific areas:

  1. Creating & developing new stage plays and theatrical showcase performances performed by our amazing actors to showcase their talent and provide the theatrical educational and mentoring support to them in preparation for college Entrance and Professional Careers in Entertainment.
  1. Creating & developing original music productions, performed by our musical and acting students.
  1. Educational Programs including specific theatrical, musical, vocal, dance training, improv, TV production and editing programs taught in small groups to inspire and enlighten. We have also developed and currently run our musical therapy program aimed at special needs and sight impaired children.

4. Musical instructional programs, including voice, guitar, bass, drums, cello, and piano/keyboards.
